Amstelveen, 10 September 2015 – The prominent American Food Marketing Institute has presented Savory, the American sister of the content platform Allerhande, with the Gold Plate Award in Washington D.C.. This award is one of the most prestigious retail awards for initiatives ‘which help consumers make family mealtime a regular occasion’. The omnichannel content platform Savory was developed by Amstelveen-based MPG. for Ahold USA.
‘The fact that we have received this Gold Plate Award in such a short space of time is a wonderful accolade for the team,’ says Irpa Allard, International Creative Director MPG. and Savory Launching Director.
The content platform Savory is the American sister of Allerhande. Recipes from Allerhande are translated to Savory as far as feasible. ‘Scalable content is something we, at MPG., strongly believe in. We want to provide our customers with scalable services and content which are both cost-effective and creative. Scalable content reveals the wealth of a good content database. When also linked to data, content can be a value-add for any brand. Much of the content of Savory comes from Allerhande. A large part is also provided locally: culinary expertise meets local flavor. And that has proved a cast iron formula. Savory is also a partnership between Amstelveen-based MPG. and our New York agency MPG. Concepts Inc.,’ Allard explains.
In visit source the United States, Savory is published by four Ahold supermarkets: Giant Carlisle, Giant Landover, MARTIN’S and Stop & Shop. The content platform consists of a website, an app and the print magazine (circulation 1.2 million). Many recipe videos are available on the website.
